Wednesday, January 8 Spring full semester and Express I classes begin.
Friday, January 10
  • Last day of Drop/Add for Express I classes.
  • Last day for students to submit a request to Audit or apply for a Pass/Fail grade option for Express I classes.
Monday, January 13 Departmental Chairs' SZAAREG Deadline for Express I classes.
Wednesday, January 15
  • Last day of Drop/Add for full semester classes.
  • Last day for students to submit a request to Audit or apply for a Pass/Fail grade option full semester classes.
Monday, January 20 Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday, observed. No classes. College closed.
Tuesday, January 21 Departmental Chairs' SZAAREG Deadline for full semester classes.
Tuesday, January 28 Last day for faculty to submit Individual Enrollment and Bachelor's Essay applications to the Registrar's Office for all full semester, Express I and Express II classes.
Wednesday, January 29 Attendance Verification for faculty opens in MyCharleston via Final Grades.

February 2020

Saturday, February 1 Last day to submit an Undergraduate Application to Graduate in Spring 2020.
Wednesday, February 5 Attendance Verification for faculty closes at noon.
Monday, February 10 Last day for students to withdraw with a grade of "W" from Express I classes.  NOTE: Holds placed by the Treasurer's Office will prohibit students from being able to withdraw in Banner Self-Service.  Students should settle the hold with the Treasurer to be able to withdraw online or contact the Registrar's Office by this deadline to withdraw.
Tuesday, February 11
  • WA (Failure Due to Excessive Absences) form may now be submitted by faculty for Express I classes.
  • Last day for students to submit incomplete undergraduate coursework to faculty for any Fall 2019 session (Fall 60 Day Deadline). Change of grade form to be submitted by faculty.
Thursday, February 13 Spring 2020 Express I Course-Instructor Evaluations Open.
Saturday, February 15
  • Designated Storm Make-Up Day (SD*).
  • Last day to submit a Graduate Application to Graduate in Spring 2020.
Tuesday, February 18 Undergraduate missing and incomplete grades for Fall 2019 convert to a grade of "F".
Tuesday, February 25 Last day of Express I classes.
Wednesday, February 26
  • Express I final exams for M/W classes.
  • Full semester Mid Term and Express I final grading open to faculty.
Thursday, February 27
  • Express I final exams for T/R classes.
  • Spring 2020 Express I Course-Instructor Evaluations close.

Thursday, March 5 Department Chairs' SZAAREG Deadline for Express II classes.
Friday, March 6
  • Full semester Mid Term and Express I final grades due at noon.
  • Class Roll Verification for Express II opens and should be handled via Addition or Deletion from the Grade Roll form to be submitted by faculty.
Saturday, March 7 Full semester Mid Term and Express I final grades available to students on MyCharleston by this date.
Friday, March 13

Sunday, March 15 - Saturday March 21 Spring Break.
Monday, March 23 Classes resume.
Tuesday, March 24 Fall 2020 early registration begins based on earned hours. NOTE: Holds will prohibit students from being able to register. Students should settle holds with the office that placed the hold before their opportunity to register.
Monday, March 30 Maymester and Summer Sessions registration begins for visiting students.

Tuesday, April 7 COVID-19 Extended Withdrawal for Full Semester and Express II Courses Opens through April 22, 2020.
Saturday, April 11 WA (Failure Due to Excessive Absences) form may now be submitted by faculty for Express II classes.
Wednesday, April 22
  • Last day of full semester and Express II classes.  Only classes that normally meet on Monday should meet on this date.
  • COVID-19 Extended Withdrawal for Full Semester and Express II Courses Ends
Thursday, April 23
  • Reading Day / Designated Storm Make-Up Day (SD).
  • Full semester and Express II grading open to faculty.
Friday, April 24 First day of full semester and Express II final exams.
Wednesday, April 29
  • Last day of Full semester and Express II final exams.
  • Spring 2020 Full Semester and Express II Course-Instructor Evaluations close.

May 2020

  • Full semester and Express II final grades due at 5pm.  Faculty must submit a Change of Grade form after the 5 pm deadline.
  • Graduate missing and incomplete grades for Fall 2019 convert to a grade of "F".
Tuesday, May 5
  • Students will be able to access Express II and full-semester grades on the Significant Disruption (PS/NS) Grade Mode page in Banner Self-Service. Grades will not be located in the normal Student Grades channel until they are finalized on May 7, 2020.
  • Significant Disruption (PS/NS) Grade Mode option is available to students starting at 12:01 am (EST).

  • POSTPONED DUE TO COVID-19  Spring 2020 Commencement (2 Ceremonies): (Morning: Undergraduate School fo the Arts and School of Business) (Afternoon: Undergraduate School of Education, Health and Human Performance; Undergraduate School of Languages, Cultures and World Affairs; Undergraduate School of Sciences and Mathematics); Visit the Commencement Website for updated details regarding a make-up date.
Tuesday, May 12
  • Degrees are scheduled to be posted on this date. Students should wait until after this date to order official transcripts if they want the degree to appear on the transcript.
