About the Office of the Registrar

The Office of the Registrar is charged with upholding the value of courses taken and degrees conferred at the College by overseeing the accuracy, integrity and delivery of data. The registrar's office at the College of Charleston protects student rights as defined by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), determines the College's academic calendar, provides registration services, maintains the course inventory, schedules course sections (including final examinations), posts transfer credit for continuing students, upholds academic policy in the maintenance of student academic records, clears students for graduation, produces the undergraduate academic catalog, produces student transcripts, reports data as necessary to campus officials and assists in the implementation and maintenance of the student information software used on campus and on the Web.

The Registrar's Office at the College of Charleston is an active member of AACRAO (American Association of Collegiate Registars and Admissions Officers).
